8 Tips For Purchasing Paintball Markers
Now you have finally decided that paintball marking is the sport for you. You are up to the grueling physical challenge that it offers, you enjoy the competitiveness of the game, and you appreciate the camaraderie and bonding that it brings to the teams and the individual players. You finally decided to invest on paintball marking paraphernalia – protective gears like masks/goggles, air tank, and the most crucial of all gadgets – the paintball marker. You just do not buy paintball markers because you like the design or your friends use the same make and brand. There are a lot of things to consider when getting a paintball marker that matches you. Here are 8 tips for purchasing paintball markers:
1. Normally, a major factor in choosing anything for ourselves is the price. We somehow tend to think that cheap items will match or even outlast the pricey ones, but how many times have we been disappointed? Most of the time, spending a couple of extra bucks may spell durability and better performance.
2. Aside from the price, people take into consideration the looks of the gun. Some prefer massive types, others would opt for the techie-looking ones. However, in the long run, the biggest consideration that we should focus on is reliability.
3. What comes with reliability is the availability of parts. You do not want to miss out a competition because your gun has a specific component that can only be purchased in Korea.
4. The availability of upgrades should also be put to mind when purchasing paintball markers. You may still be tied up with a paintball marker that is so outmoded already because the gun that you bought has no upgrade possibilities.
5. The styles and capabilities of the paintball marker is important when purchasing one. Are you the trigger-happy type of player who likes spray the opponents with paintball gels, or are you the more sophisticated shooter who waits for the one shot that requires accuracy. For each required capability, there is an upgrade that is pre-designed to match it.
6. What is the expertise of the one who needs the gun? Are you a novice or experienced? If you are the former, you need a reliable gun devoid of flashy add-ons that may distract you from the game. Buy a paintball marker that is not cheap, pay extra for reliability. If you are well-experiences, then that is a totally different story. You may opt for the upgrades that you want.
7. Choose a paintball marker that is made of metal components. The plastic ones when damaged need to thrown altogether, but the metal markers can be assembled part by part, hence when a part is dented or old, you may replace just that specific part, not the whole gun itself.
8. Always make sure that the maker of the gun is still in circulation and is still open for servicing.
