Tips For Your First Time Paintballing

Playing paintball for the first time can be a nerve racking experience. That’s why it is important to go out on the field prepared mentally. Here are some tips to make your first game a fun one.

Always make sure you are wearing suitable clothing when you play. For beginners, don’t feel afraid to wear extra lairs of clothing. The pain from getting hit is something you will get used to overtime but don’t feel ashamed that you wear extra lairs. However, take caution not to wear too many lairs as this can lead to heat exhaustion. Along the same lines, always bring lots of water to the field. In between games it is essential to resupply yourself with water to avoid dehydration.

Always find something to hide behind. Players who stand out in the open get eliminated very quickly. When you hide behind something, your chances of getting hit are greatly reduced. Once you find some suitable cover, it is best to pop up, fire a few shots, then pop back down. Never pop up in the same place either. The less the opponent sees of you, the better. As you will soon find out, not knowing wear people are in the game of paintball can be very frightening!

Always be a good sport. You can’t expect to be Rambo the first time you play paintball. It will take many games to pick up on the tactics that will make you a great player. If you get hit, raise your hand and walk off the field. Never wipe off the paint and keep playing. No one likes a cheater. After the game is over, congratulate the person who got you out. I’m sure they will return the favor a few months down the road when you’re a lot better.

Finally, always wear a mask. Getting hit in the face can be a very painful experience. Getting hit in the eye can end your life. Make sure you are wearing a mask with eye protection whenever you are around the game of paintball.
